BIG PROBLEMO! cd-rom application

I have burn my flash projector portfolio on a cd, I’ve tested in 4 computers:

  1. pentiumIV 1.9 Ghz, RAM 512 Mb, 32 Mb VGA card, 40X CD ROM
2.pentium III 600 Mhz, RAM 256 Mb, 32 Mb VGA card, 52X CD ROM
3.Mobile PC pentium III 750 Mhz, RAM 256 Mb, 16 Mb VGA card, 24X CD ROM
4.Mobile PC pentium II 500 Mhz, RAM 256 Mb, 16 Mb VGA card, 16X CD ROM

and the result is:

  1. no problemo
  2. no problemo
  3. big problemo!!! (slower, act like six Million dollar man!!)
  4. worse!!! ( six million $ man action!! on the double)

my question is:
A. Is “loadMovie” method on the projector causing the problem(3&4)?? cause when I play the loaded movie alone it works fine…(refer to http://www.flashmagazine.com/html/477.htm)
B. Is it the VGA card?? cause (1&2) works fine…
C. Is it the CD ROM??

It could possibly be the load movie, since its being loaded off the cd. On the slower cd drives it might take longer to load a certian part. I dont actulally think flash uses the video card much…i could be mistaken though. If its going to slow down it would most probably be the CPU speed, which is required to calculate all those vectors…oh well

hey man, i just finsihed a cd project, and i found i had the same problem, i was trying to load external swf’s and it would slow down everytime it got to those points. so what i did is just added a loading sequence, and just let it load. nobody has complained yet, and it actually got printed as an enhanced CD for a band, no problems thus far.

added a loading sequence, how do I do that?? sorry for the late
reply (usually I receive your replies in my e-mail, but I didn’t)…
