I have been to alot of sites and seen an effect but I dont know how to duplicate it. One such effect is making text look shiny or blured. Also i want to know how to make things have a glowing effect.
An example of what I mean is at www.blitzds.com, after the intro look at the nav bar and the bottom buttons… See the blurry, glowing text? It almost looks like the text is energized.
Any comments or suggestions would be helpful.
photoshop. check out www.voidix.com for tutorials on photoshop, and then import the images to Flash.
I haven’t tried to make glowing effects in flash… because I’ve been making all that kind of stuff in fireworks mx.
about the blur I think there’s an extension with that effect. I don’t remember the name so look for it at macromedia exchange.

Hello.
If your refering to the blue glow then this can be done in flash.
Just do a linear or radial fill. Make one colour the indigo-blue and then make the other colour anything, apply a 0% alpha value to that colour. Now the blue glow fades out into nothing.
Simple.
