I fin to buy a new book soon. I saw this on the frontpage of kirupa.com and was wondering how it was.
I have read other books by the same author/company, they were pretty good.
the book is probably incredibly basic and barely touches on actionscript though. I have some Sams 24 hour books for Visual Basic and they are ok, but I’ve seen better. If you are a complete beginner, then its probably good.
I guess it all depends on what your trying to learn. Most books are either all about Flash and it’s design elements, or all about actionscript.
I really need to learn the basics before I take on actionscript. Just a question, is actionscript anything like PHP?
I think it is fairly similar. The big thing about actionscripting (I think) is learning how to deal with flash through actionscripting. In other words the language is not to bad, but talking to flash through it is a little tricky.
Am I making any sense here?
Yes I understand. I know PHP so maybe it’ll be easy for me to learn actionscript.
