I am a newbie to Flash. I own Flash MX. THere are many books out there, it is pretty confusing choosing the right one/s. I am planning on using it primarily for web design. Any recommended reading?
beginner too, but i got foundation flash mx and now i feel like i actually know some stuff!!
it goes from the basics and teaching you the different tools to intermediate action scripting, and it actually teaches you, it doesn’t just give you code to type in!
it’s one of the best tutorial books i’ve ever bought!
My favorite book is the Flash MX Bible. Its not so complicated that a newer user will be lost, but its also comprehensive, so it provides a breadth of help on a number of topics.
Definitely worth a glance at your local Barnes and Noble! :thumb:
I’m reading Flash MX Saavy, it’s probably similar to the Flash MX Bible.
I found I only began to learn things after the 12 chapter because I have played around with Flash on my own and picked up most of what they teach. (most of it was covered by the flash tutorials with the program itself!)
Almost half way, going through the actionscripting section, finding it quite hard to grasp, but I have bought another book for actionscripting.
