Ok here’s the thing, I love Classic Rock, the Rolling Stones are awesome. I live about 5 miles from Detroit, and I would have loved to have tickets to see them perfrom during the Superbowl Halftime show. Then it occured to me that something is all wrong with that.
First of all, football is an American sport, and for some reason we have had the Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney (last year) lead the halftime show recently. I want to know why English rock stars are coming across the atlantic to celebrate American tradition, when there are plenty of good stars here that could do the halftime show. If I had it my way, the halftime show would have been done by either (or a combination of) Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Bob Seger, or even Eminem. At least they are all from Detroit and they aren’t geezers either. Isn’t anyone sick of that Satisfaction song yet anyway? It would have been much better with some young, homegrown stars.
