Hello, when i convert text to button and make it a link to another frame inside flash or to a web-site, the link only work in the carachters not in the square around the text, is there a way to make text buttons that also select the square?
the square has to be inside the button symbol as well, not just behind it.
but i didnt mean a new square behind the text, i men the line of the text box, it is possible tahat the all text box would be a link and not just the caracther lines?
No, you need to create a solid hit area for your button.
Flash recognizes the text only as being solid and therefore only counts that as the button.
In your symbol you can create a new layer and drag it to the bottom. In that layer you can draw a square of the same color, or a movie clip symbol with an alpha setting of 0.
OR
You can create a shape of your button and use THAT as your button, and then simply apply your text over that button on the stage instead of in the button. That way you can reuse that same button and just create a textbox over it and throw the label in there.
