Im just getting back into flash after some time off, so im sure this is a basic problem and i know ive done it before, but my memory is eluding me.
here is what i am aiming for:
I have a banner that has a rotating symbol on the left side, a space with a background graphic in the middle, and on the right are three symbols (pictures of people that have been converted to a symbol)
my goal is to have the symbol on the left keep rotating. but at the same time i would like a text effect playing over the graphic in the center.
when someone mouses over one of the three people. i would like the text effect to fade out, and a small amount of text describing the person to replace it. eventually i would also like the person you roll over to enlarge and take a more dominant presense on the page, and upon release return to its static state.
Im not asking for an indepth walkthrough on how exactly to do this, but some points in the right direction would be appreciated. links to a tutorial that would be of use etc, but of course an explanation is appreciated as well.
after two+ years not using flash, the simple things seem to be what i am forgetting most, such as how to cause a button rollover to cause a movie clip to play. im looking through the tutorials on here, but cant seem to find some of those basic things.
