Cartoonfox - version 4... i have deisgners block

hi, i’m trying to design version 4 of cartoonfox.
but i have designers block :smiley: and i need help.

so far i have two different designs. none are working, just layout.

but beware they are pretty hideous. i want to be …hmm, what the word. shocking?.. different?.. crazy? nah, i cant think of the word. just check the sites :smiley:

I think the first link is the better layout. Only thing I didn’t like about it was the annoying sound effect for the rollovers.

The background on the second one made me a bit dizzy.

They’re very bright, but I think #1 shows tons of potential. Good luck, I lost my dad to Flash. He went in, and never came out! :frowning:

the first was is really nice :slight_smile: but i dont think yellow is a good idea, too hard on the eyes… heheeh

just the menu, which was inspired from looking at the tiles in my bathroom :smiley: you can get insperation from the strangest places, huh!!

so, shall i continue with this? i’m not sure whether to have each section a different colour (like version 3) or just have one colour scheme.

What I would like to see is when you click a button, it becomes wider and higher, the content is loaded, but the menu keeps its structure. You know what I mean? The home button becomes bigger, and then the button next to it is still on its right edge, and the buttons under it maintain they’re placement relative to the expanded home section… that’d be cool :slight_smile:

update, i like this design now :smiley: i’m gonna stick with it and work it up to a nice site, worthy of a sequal to version 3.

Hey man, really nice stuff. I think you could make an awesome site if you hooked it up to some Actionscript and also some back-end.
