i bought mine (www.mdipi.com) for 9.99 a year at www.registerfly.com. there is another site for 8.99 but unlike registerfly, it does not include free forwarding.

well in my country you have to pay 1900 Rs(32 $) for one year registration and hosting for 10MB web site.
$25 CND for domain registry.
$10 a month hosting.
Or u can pay $120 dollers up front and that includes hosting for a year and domain regestry.

I just used register.com and now I have everything, including email servers that my friend set up. It is expensive but the customer service is great!

In total, I pay $70/year for domain name and hosting. So far, I find Registerfly and Your-site.com (hosting service) to be really reliable and they have a great up-time. In addition, after the first year, you only have to pay $8.99/year for your domain name through Registerfly.
Syko - the $9.99 domain names at Registerfly only pays for the URL. It doesn’t pay for hosting, however they do refer you to a hosting service (but that’s not as affordable as Your-site). After you buy a domain name, you have to either use the URL forwarding (so the domain name points to your site) or enter your hosting service’s DNS server (your host should provide you with this info when you purchase).
