Check This Awesome piece of art Work

it rules, first i made a model in cinema 4d and then just some simple filters in photoshop.

It’s alright I guess,
The curvey things coming out of the cylindar things aren’t very curved though, are they supposed to be like that?
It might look better if it had some sort of ground or something.

I…think it’s fine. It’s my first cinema 4d, photoshop combination

certainly n# 1 in being presomptuous…

Maybe you should have played with antialias a bit more - the curved thingy dont look smooth in some places…

‘antialias’ what that being?

 :-/

T-O, saying stuff like that is grounds for banning  Consider that your warning.

Statisticly, I believe there the number of 3D-Sparkly-Abstract-Crystal things in existance out-number the current population of Earth.

Precisely my point.

Last time I used a filter was… I dunno. I might have added a lens flare to a sword. Possibly.

When used sparingly, the filter effects can be used to benefit the image. Personally, I prefer the image to mean something, and actually show something, not all this wierd, abstract craziness which has flooded the net. Its much harder to create something that looks like something else, than to throw some crazy shapes, some filters, and some wierd colors, and lights together, and end up with some kind of image. That’s why I admire Kitiara, and some of the other artists that draw objects, and people, and things… just my opinion…

Filters are incredibly helpful, but shouldnt be used as an end - as a mean to get the picture you want…

For instance im constantly using gaussian blur, motion blur, color halftone effect, clouds, displacement, Flaming Pear filters etc… Just make sure your artwork doesnt become a simple filter effect…
