Chili chefs, unite!

So I made my first chili today. My recipe (really basic) was:

[]1lb lean ground beed

]diced tomatoes
[]kidney beans

]chili powder
[]onions
[
]garlic
[]grocery store italian seasoning
[
]topped with a little four blend shredded cheese
[/LIST]

It was decent, but am looking for something a little more flavorful, anyone here have some good recipes?
