Hi guys,
I’m hoping someone can help me. My website has got a lot of hits lately, which is great, however it’s made my bandwith go through the roof which costs me money…not so great
The main reason my bandwith has gone crazy is because I use flash files so people can listen to my interviews. Here’s an example:
http://www.mattblank.com/interviews/nancycartwright
Each interview is quite a few MB’s and therefore 20,000 people a week visiting notches the bandwith up considerbly.
Can someone please tell me how I can just put a small, standard flash file there saying ‘load interview’ then they can click on that and then the above flash file will start? That way people can choose if they want to listen to it or not. At the moment high bandwith is used becuase the interviews load for the user everytime they enter the page, even if they decide not to listen
One thing I have tried was to create a ‘click here’ type thing, and then load an external movie (the external one being the actualy interview), but for some reason when I try this it doesn’t work
I hope I’ve made sense and someon can help!
Thanks!
