ive got a flash website(.fla file) that is one megabyte, but it takes ages to view on a normal 56k modem!!!
Is there a way which i can reduce the filesize or load the pages of the site only when the user views them?
this is not warm!!!:-\

You could try to split your movie in parts and load them while it’s running. But it mostly depends how your movie is built. For instance if it’s a website you could part every link you have on your site and load the movie to the main movie.
Also if you have used images, music or film snips you could also try to lower the quality.
its set up using buttons in flash and the links are to different scenes in the same file.
How would I load each page separatley??
Did you made a preloader?
You could preload the main movie and split your scenes from the file and seperatly load them once visitors click on the buttons. The user still has to load the content but not the full content so small bandwith users will already have your main movie in front of them without giving them their load-stress :tb:
yeah I have got a preloader thats gud thanks!!!

Tips for reducing filesize:
Load any music dynamically. Don’t put the music inside the flash file.
Try to make as much as possible of the artwork vector. Illustrator / Flash is a killer combo!
“Swonk” the site. Instead of making one swf with different scenes, make multiple swf’s and load on demand.
-M
use loadmovie instead of having scenes. have all your differetn scene’s separate .swf’s and load them as you ned them
