I’m looking into getting Comcast in the next month or so and had a few questions for those of you who have it.
I have an HD monitor (meaning no converter) so that when something is broadcast in HD (HD specific channels/Xbox 360) it is displayed in HD on my TV. How do the regular, non-HD channels look on an HD monitor? Are they grainy? If so, where can I get a converter and for how much?
I currently have DirecTV HD, which has been a nightmare because I have had audio issues and sometimes picture quality issues since day one. I eventually got a tech guy to the house and he said he couldn’t fix it. On a side note, I receive HD channels like ESPN and TNT. When I look at Comcast’s HD offerings they don’t list ESPNHD or TNTHD. Is the listing outdated or do certain providers have exclusive deals with certain channels?
I’m most excited about upgrading to broadband from my current dial-up connection. No questions about this, I’m just excited to be able to enjoy the other half of the Internet (y’know, the part with videos and music).
Thanks for any info!
