Wow!!.

My computer been slow here and there and I been mesing with my computer trying to make it faster and it finally goes faster since I got it.

Now I Cleaned my Computer out on the inside but yet my computer still went slow.

Here it is the “Intel Application Accelerator”

It is amazing if you have an intel Pentium My computer now goes amazingly fast and I can now enjoy usin my computer without worrying about waiting 5 minutes to close a program after it hasent been repsonding infact i wont really have to worry about an application not repsonding at all.

Im So So happy.

What ya think of it

Goshdarnit. I was looking forward to installing this program, as it improves exactly the things I’ve been having trouble with. So I downloaded it for Windows XP Pro, and when I try to install it, it says

Incompatible hardware. This software is not supported on this chipset. Please select “Yes” to view the Readme file for a list of supported products. Refer to section 2 titled “System Requirements”.

I don’t get it? :h: I have an Intel Pentium III Processor? What’s wrong? Should I try downloading the version for “All Operating Systems”, or doesn’t that work as well?

Ok, the “All Operating Systems” didn’t work neither… What’s going on? I don’t get it? :frowning:

Did you restart your computer.

I think it said the same thing for me But I restarted and it was working fine

Or go to intel.com and look for the latest intel graphic chipsets.

I’ll restart, I hope it works then. I really do.
So just restart and run the program again?

crosses his fingers

Is it only for Intel graphic cards? Or the processor?

    1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  1. The system must contain the following Intel products:

    • Intel® Pentium® III or Pentium® 4 processor
    • Intel® 82801AA, 82801AB, 82801BA or 82801DB
      controllers
  2. The kit software should be installed on systems with at
least the minimum system memory required by the
    operating system.

  3. Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition(SE),
Windows Millennium Edition(Me), Windows NT 4.0,
    Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
    **

  4. Installation of the Intel® Chipset Software
Installation Utility prior to loading the Intel®
    Application Accelerator.

**I think you need this. Anyone know where to get it?

Found it:

I’m running Windows 2000 without the above installed yet, so far so good with installation, going to restart now.

Ok, I installed it without a hitch. But I didn’t install the Utility prior to the installation of the driver. So I went back, uninstalled the driver, tried to install the Utility, but it says I’m up to date already with the Utility, so I shoved the driver back in. I don’t feel any changes though.

Gragh! I still haven’t managed to install either of the two. I first tried to install the Intel Application Accelator, that didn’t work, then I tried installing the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility, that didn’t work either! I don’t know why…

Maybe you don’t have the right chip? Check point 1 of the requirements.

El Thierro - are you on a laptop by any chance? The latest IAA 2.3 version does not support mobile chipsets. IAA 2.2, on the other hand, does support laptops. You may want to try that

Is there a program like this for us AMD users?

Not sure - I am guessing no, unless AMD also makes chipsets and optimizations for their chipsets running their processors. For the most part, many AMD users third party chipsets compatible with their chips. Intel’s chipsets, even through a 3rd party, probably use proprietary Intel technology with proprietary additions such as integrated sound, wireless access, etc.

Overclocking is what AMD is designed for. Do it.

The only information on my processor I could find is that it’s this:

GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 8 997 MHz Stepping 6

Shouldn’t it work then? :h:

I am not sure why it isent work for anyone makes me feel special.

Anyways you always need a program to make your computer faster you can just use some of Windows Own Tools.

I use Disk Cleanup Everyday and then defragment every week or second week and my computer hasent been having problems since umm like august.

I havent been having any errors unless it was a bad Application.

Anyways you should do my steps

1.Disk Cleanup(everyday)
2.Defragement(every week)

Alwayts do a disk cleanup before doing a defragment.

Also When i got the Intel Application Accelerator I decided that I start cleaning out my computer so I went rhough all my files gor rid of unwanted files and I uninstalled stupid programs now I have 10.4 gb let on my hardrive
I only had 8.9gb im so happy.

Anyways Hope that helps a bit.

Yeah, I should probably clean up my HD as well… But I still wonder why it doesn’t work…
