Convert .FLAC to .MP3 en masse?

I need to convert a ton of FLAC files to MP3 - anyone got a good solution? :beam:

That works. Looked like a dumb idea at first to me, but it does a fine job.

Can winamp do it?

WinAmp can get them to WAV files, and then iTunes does a good job of getting them to MP3.

I was just trying to do this the other day so I could listen to these songs on my iPod. That page is so retarded - 3 programs to convert Flac to MP3? Is that really necessary?

Try this: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ That’s what I ended up using. Their converter is a trial version, but you can get it for free if you know what I mean.

The regular version of those two programs does the trick pretty nicely actually. I had the same initial reactions - really, I have to get WinAmp, and use iTunes, just to get these files to the right format? But… it worked, so I guess I can’t complain. I’m at work, so I’d rather not spend too much time browsing around ‘that kind’ of site. :wink:
