does any one use it, i am trying to connect to my friend, and it says to download the file, but it wont let me open it with any program.

any ideas? :frowning:

um, yeah…you’re gonna have to be a lil more descriptive than “the file”

rcBuddy.MsRcIncident (Binary attachment)

To accept this request

Open the file attached to the e-mail message. Make sure it is of the type MsRCincident. If prompted to open or save it, be sure to open it.
Click Yes to accept the invitation.
When prompted to connect to the sender’s computer, type a password if necessary. If you don’t know the password, contact the sender to get it.

i did all of that, but it doesnt let me open it with ant program.

Tell your friend to put the file on his website and dl it from there. Or just dl it from him over mIRC or AIM.

she doesnt have a web site. what if i save it and upload it to my server?

Oh, i got you, you can’t open it, but you can dl it from her. If it gives you that thing that XP doesn’t know how to open that file type, then search for it. If it doesn’t give you that, try to click open with and make sure it’s not like opening with paint or something. If that doesn’t work, it might be corrupt. If it’s not corrupt, then i’ve got no idea how to help you, sorry :(.

if she has msn and you have msn as well you can send remote assistance so can she if your using winxp pro (dont know if home is the same) go to my computer right click on it and choose the remote tab and make sure you have allow remote connections enabled and make sure so does she otherwise you might have problems, its a great feature its almost like pc anywhere just make sure shes not on a 56k modem otherwise itll ruin the experience lol

thanks guys, i will try that later,

i just got an email from some one wanting to connect, and i have no idea who he is. Now this is weird…

lol… gotta be careful with remote stuff… got a firewall?

i don’t personally use firewalls, it just limits the fun i have with ports :thumb:. but i’ve got a wall full of plaques, hangin up in the office in back of my house like trophies. =)
