You can start Windows XP into safe mode with command prompt only then copy stuff via dos, but copy it to what is the question…a floppy? Rewrite access isnt supported at the prompt. Press F8 like the man said, and either restore or go into safe mode and run the antivirus.
also if you boot normally, you might want to try pressing ctrl.alt.delete to get the task manager… once there go to the “processes” tab…find explorer.exe and end its task…once it is ended go to “File” then “New Task (Run)” and type in “explorer.exe” this resets your file explorer…see what you can do from there, and also try the restore and antivirus functions…
THERE IS NO MORE DOS. Dos was an operating system. It is DEAD!!! What you see is command prompt, all it is is the command line instead of loading the shell.
