Could someone please point me in the right direction

i use this site all the time b/c of its easy to use tutorials. However i cant find this on any site could someone explain how this is done on this site, its a photoshop image im sure but how did they seperate it and have the lines glaring only in certain spots. http://www.paretologic.com/xoftspy/?hop=syabab thanks to whoever helps!

You mean the bits of extra light that glow in the top image?

That’s a photoshop image, yes… but the glare is flash.

I think you should go that way…

but seriously, you might want to look into motion guides, as that might clue you in on how the effect is made…

thanks for the replies guys i know motion tweening and i dont think its that. I know its a photoshop image and the glare (done in flash) is some sort of mask i can already mask but id like a tutorial to get me close thanks.

well, if you know motion guides, then run a small shiny object along the motion guides… you can even duplicate the motion guide layer, give it a stroke of 2 or 3, and then convert Lines to Shapes…

after that, make it a mask, and that same motion guide effect can be hidden behind a small, narrow mask shape…

i once had a link to a tutorial that would be perfect for what you are trying to do, but i cannot find it…
