Hmm…maybe I should give it a shot. Just select a brush, close my eyes and go buck wild with the mouse and see what appears after 10 second or so.

Grunge reminds me quite a bit of Rauschenberg (a contemporary of Jasper Johns, and Pollack)…

You can do grunge by just throwing stuff onto the canvas but I find if u structure it a bit more u get a way better effect. Kind of plan out roughly what u want and really put a lot of detail into it.
Also try to make your own brushes. You can come up with some realy neat things.

The brushes I used where mostly from nocturne and dubtastic. I also built a pereodic table brushs which i used in the chem lab entry. Hope that helps
