Critique Requested: HTML + Flash Header

Please critique my latest design work at:

(please ignore the tripod ads; the design fits flush on top)

Here are the changes I’m considering:

  1. remove the buttonized look on the ribbon and just give it a drop-shadow
  2. take out the faded red on the bottom of the flash header
  3. light-up menu links
  4. tighten the curve of the ribbon
  5. shrink the vertical height of the header so the menu bar and content starts higher on the page
