this is the second attempt at my website
i had never used a transparent image so i thought that i would and add a bulging curve to put my logo in, thought it turned out pretty good.
menu links arent active yet, but the text change color effect is, wanted to keep it pretty simple
the site is all HTML/CSS and i have validated it all to make sure it looks proper on all browsers
photoshop to make the images, and notepad for the html/css code
link: The Joe Knows 2.0 Layout (Critique Version)
Things i already know i need to fix up:
- lines in the menu are not correctly placed, and im going to make them transparent so the lined background bleeds through.
2.frame to hold the page content isnt very sharp looking at all, and the gradients dont look right to me (any suggestions?)
3.Probably should hav a proper footer, maybe the same black curvy style as the header?
Thank you for all your help

P.S. Hows my logo look?
anyone willing to critique? i know its bad, but thats ok, i need the help
I would def go look around at some other sites for design inspiration.
Its pretty bland. Also figure out how you want to organize the content as the content is the purpose for the site.
No one cares that your site is valid plus the icons just look ugly in most sites designs. Usually this is something you tack on into the copyrights with small links.
Dude… If I can give you one piece of advice that I guarantee will make you a better designer it’s to go to your fonts directory and delete Comic Sans… :I
nortago: the font is actually Segoe Print, although very similar to comic sans… i like it though…
Templarin: thank you, i will edit my footer to make it look more clean… my idea for this site is to make it very smooth and easy on the eye… any good ideas for sites/places to look for inspiration?
thank you for your comments:)
no the header font is Segoe which Is quite nice - but the menu font is most definitely Comic Sans
ooo sry about that, my bad. thanks for the tip, updated the menu font to Segoe
