Are any of you using any sort of database version control? I’m going to be starting a pretty big project soon, and while I won’t need this right away, it’s something I want to get figured out eventually. After some initial looking around, I’m thinking something like the steps outlined here might be best. I want to keep it as simple as possible, but I also want to make sure it’s thorough and effective. If you’ve used any specific tools you can recommend that might make this easier, let me know (I plan on using PostgreSQL).
Kind of related: I’m also trying to figure out a solid django project file structure - something conducive to version control across multiple environments. I’m still a beginner in django, but right now I’m looking at something like this. If any of you are seasoned django-ers I’d love to hear your input on that, too.
Kforum doesn’t have a rep system, but if you help me I promise to up your real-life street cred.
