hey tech people…
if i were to build my own comp (which i plan on having someone do hehe)
what would be the IDEAL components to a sysytem that can handle graphic programs and make the occassional game of warcraft look KICK ASS!?
Btw, as to the web address in the corner, that was something I was planing on registering, but haven’t yet/not sure if I’m going to. So you can ignore that
Im going to assume that money is no factor here… =) so i continue…
For graphics, ive had the best expirence with a geforce 3 card, however the geforce 4 cards are now out and that would provide great graphics etc…
Also you’ll need a processor that can handle it…
i’d go with a 2.0 ghz (or even a little less, your choice) AMD processor, Oh and get lots of fans to keep it cool and optimal.
Then you’ll need lots of ram, go with at least 512mb or more, i’d perfer a gig of ram. =)
lets see… and a pretty decent monitor, 19" + if ya can (or dont have one already ) cause whats the point in having awesome graphics if your monitor cant handle it.
Thats all i can think of now =)
Of if you dont like windows, get a mac g4, its works great =)
if you can swing it, go with AlienWare… that is the box that will give some serious HP… if you cant swing the steep ticket, try VPR Matrix, you can get these highly customizable system at Best Buy… believe me, worth every penny.
Yea i also have an alienware system, but i’d build it… Mine cost alot, (basically i loved the case lol) and you can build the same machine for alot less. =) Or better yet, go to their website, get a list of all the components and buy them seperatly
yah… that’s why I got the VPR Matrix… it is loaded and I can just add what I want. Has anyone purchased Blaster Audigy yet? Im thinking about getting it.
Yea i have the Sound Blaster Audigy Ex (with the external box) and it ROCKS.
The sound system is the best (however i have THX surround sound PC speakers heehe) and the soundcard makes everything sound perfect =)
I got the Ex because of the external input box, i try to do alot of msuic making suff etc lol , =)
Yea 2 monitors ROCK! =)
I had that setup for a while, however i need to get another geforce 3 card, because the video card i was using for the 2nd monitor was kinda slow =) helps to have both kick ass Vid cards =)
