Thinking about Move 37 again after reading that piece. It was shocking because it violated everything Go intuition said should work, then it won the game anyway.
But I’m wondering if we still get those moments where AI does something that actually makes you stop and think “wait, why did that work.” Or have we just gotten used to the strangeness by now? Everything’s surprising until it’s not. At some point the moves just look normal again, even when they’re weird.
