Drag And Drop Menu Activator!

I’ve got a concept in mind in which I want a lot of interactivity. I want the user to be able to pick up a small square with a graphic in it, and then drop it into a slot. The user can choose which square to place into the slot. There is only one slot, but there are multiple squares. Each square represents a link on the website. When you place a square into the slot, It will activate that portion of the website. Does anybody have any clue how to do this?
