I updated my video card driver… from the NVIDIA site, and it broke everything. In Photoshop it freezes up if I try to do to many things, in Maya it cant shade the objects real time (it puts black flickering boxes all over them) and in combustion it can play back my movie for 30 seconds then it freezes completely (cant move my mouse even), then it un freezes after about 20 seconds and starts over again. I tried rolling back my driver and it still has the problem.
I also had a Trojan detected and deleted in the same time frame as the driver update. But it was “trojan.downloader” that I doubt messes with the video card (MacAfee removed it anyway).
Any ideas? I’d rather not reformat… I have a lot of software licenses tied to this computer and I don’t want to go through the complications of reformatting and then contacting alias and what not to get it installed again.
