I think that’s cheap usually DSL is in the range of $40/month.
If you’re looking for speed I sugest DSL,cable or wireless.
well i personally have cable, which is faster, i’m not sure about the best dsl, but i’m happy w/ mediacom highspeed

It depends, cable, is generally in the same speed range but a bit cheaper. However, the nodes can be overpopulated. Basically that means that they put too many subscribers on and the cable can get clogged with traffic. Also, cable generally has an upload cap making it have slower upload than DSL.
DSL won’t give you those problems, but it is generally priced higher, and not available to people out in the country in some cases, which is usually not the case with cable.

is the speed the same as cable? The speed for that DSL is 384 kbps. I hear cable is 1.5 mbps, but whenever I had cable and would download things it would be at a rate of about 200kbps. usually not even that high.
I want DSL so badly but I live 3 miles from the box and about 3 people in that 3 mile span, so they didn’t run DSL lines out there and it will cost around 5 grand or something like that to have it put in.
I am waiting for the cable TV for run out to buy Satellite internet.

one is kilobytes per second and the other is megabits per second…or something along those lines…i’ve always been a little fuzzy on that myself.
in any event, they’re two different measures of download speed.

Cable is always faster than dSL the speeds very but cable is always on top. but cable dose not go 1.5mbs. if you want relay fast you get T1 but thats very very pricey most people go with DSL but not me it isn’t in my area so i have crap 56k which sucks.
i heard that cable is the fastest but it slows down at peak times where as dsl is slightly slower but stays at a constant speed… my cable goes at 130 kbps and i think that’s very high compared to my old 56k which was around 5kbps

they both vary from location to location.
check out what is best in your neighborhood, go with that one.
