Dubai?

Is Jas still hangin about around these parts?

I’m going to be in Dubai for a couple days at the end of the month. any Kirupians in the area? also i’m open to dropping into another country near by for a night or so, but most neighboring countries aren’t all that safe. ideas?

India is good. Delhi and Mumbai. Go there.

Hey bring your skis to Dubai. There is this major shopping complex which has a huge ski park inside.

While I can’t offer you any help… have fun and be safe! :thumb:

^same;)
be sure to visit the burj, best hotel ever

india is great! yeah jas is still around but he doesnt live in dubai though but sure can tell you good places to visit, try emailing him or something

ya india is best place to visit
but who told u neighbouring countries r not safe.
india is incredible :pleased:

I was looking more at Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen… so India was not included in my not safe comments. I’ve actually just read some good stuff about Oman, but not sure I will have enough time to get a visa…

check this out:http://www.airarabia.com/
found this site while looking for a ticket… um, did they just steal a southpark character?

not sure if Jas is on here that much anymore but I have his email address at home, in the office just now so I’ll PM it to you when I get home…

I’m sure pastey just moved there too, I’ll try to hunt her email down as well

no jas is not in dubai, he is very much in india…and yeah i m sure he can let u know which places to go and visit in dubai.

I visited Dubai last summer, it’s cool city

prepare urself for a wild ride of shopping

prices are great and alot of stuff to buy

You’re on my home turf, so let me fill you in. Iraq is a no go zone for foreigners, youd probably be kidnapped on the way to Baghdad unless you’re with the American Army. There isn’t all that much for you to do in Syria. Haven’t visited the others, so can’t tell you from personal experience unfortunately.

I’m in Jordan right now: there’s Petra, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Mount Nebo (where the 10 commandments were supposed to have been given), and the river Jordan (where Jesus was baptized). Plus, this really cool place with waterfalls, though I can’t remember its name.

With my British passport I can get into pretty much any country around here without getting a visa before hand. Enjoy Dubai, it’s awesome… Mall of the Emirates is the new huge shopping center with the ski centre - skiing there is nice, but its a 5 mins up 1 min down kind of experience. City Center Mall is worth a visit, and you can do some nice activities out in the desert.

India rocks man!!! come here… (-:

DUBAI IS AMAZING. I was born and raised in the UAE and i miss that place so much. anyways lol…

I’m not too sure what’s a good neighboring country to go to, but i know syria is a pretty nice place (depending on what you’re looking for).

If you’re looking for nice metropolitan places, you pretty much hit the jackpot with dubai, and i’m sure you’d like Beirut, Lebanon as well (not exactly neighboring dubai, but since syria is on your list, it’s very close to syria)

If you’re looking for places with nice nature etc, Yemen and syria are good for those.

If you’re looking for nothing at all, go to oman haha

PM’d Jas’s email address to you Ethan :thumb:

ah here i am ethan, rb thanks man but i hav got ethan on my msn too…hav’nt seen him on for ages really, i was also born there and gosh do i love that country, food, shopping…i am just crazy about shopping…bet i can leave any girl behind when it comes to shopping  checkout this link…one of our friend from other board was having trouble deciding if she should move to dubai or not…i helped her out with some information and pics, i took all of them btw :beam:

i am not in dubai rightnow but i am going there in shopping festival, if you can postpone or visit dubai again in shopping festival time that’d b great, its the best time to see real fun part of dubai. I’v got a condo at jumaira beach there =)

As for neighbouring countries…umm nothing much fun to see really…bit risky at times if you are unlucky…you dont really have to do something bad to get in trouble there…bias people specially in saudi arabia, too strict and booooooooring, oman umm really not that much left to see if u’v seen dubai…and make sure u spend most of your time in dubai city…not sharjah or abu dhabi…sharjah is basically turning out to be an industrial state and abu dhabi inspite of being the most beautiful and best looking out of all the states gets boring after few days really…but also make sure u visit these places…alain funcity is another place not to miss…ski park, dont miss falafals (salad etc, you ll get to see many shops on the street…enjoy the sun, dont get yourself into any trouble…if u need any more info lemme know

How about tennesee?

ha’vnt been to tennesse…but been to california, liked it but love dubai
