DW tutorial face some probs

Thanks for the person who provided the tutorials.

Pls see the attachment… y my CSS bg so small compared to the tutorial one? Soldier head missing half?? Haha! Can the table fit the screen which look nicer?

I alwz hear ppl talk abt CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Wht’s is it actually n wht’s it for? Can re-use for the nxt webpage design?

Thanks!!

  • u will nvr knw if u nvr ask*

Two things, are you sure about the table size, and did you make sure that the BG image is locked in the center through CSS?

Yeah, you can re-use CSS, everytime you creat a CSS it makes a .css file, so you can apply it multiple times.

When you created the CSS, did you make sure you specified what to do with the BG image? Make sure you follow the insrutctions and have enough space for the image.

IF this dosent help post a screen shot of DW work space…

(and please use complete words! )

May I know how to post the screen shot of DW work space? Jz now I used printscreen to save the output as jpg file.

I’m using DW 4. I face the problems while using CSS stuff. I follow exatly the same as the tutorial but at Part V, vii) Now apply all the info as posted in the following image “(except background image location):”

I don’t get the meaning of (location of the image) as mentioned in red. Should I choose “none or URL” in the drop down menu or use the Browse to find the file I’ve saved?

I think this is my problems. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks!

Attached is my DW screen shot. Do you know wht’s wrong with my CSS?

Thanks for your time.:moustache

hahaha, nothing wrong with your CSS.
I just made the same mistake and could figure it out! LOL :trout:

Anway, make sure in the colum, or wherever your applying your CSS, in the ** property pannel** , under Format, make sure none is selected…

Remeber to select none before you apply your CSS

here is an example

aah! I did selected “none” in the property pannel but the background image still small;(. pls see my workspace and ouput if you have time.

I wish to learn abt it because I don’t want my background img to be duplicated as what I did last time.

Thanks!!

Wait, i saw ur other screen and looks okay to me…
the output one, looks good…

hmm… =) actually what I wish to know is why my background color is in white while your background color is in blue, and when I change background color to blue I can’t see the soldier picture anymore.

Nvm, I’ll try again. Thanks!!

Just click in the table… (make sure to be in stadart view) On the proprety inspector, the one on the bottom of the screen, see where it says Bg … well Select the color blue, either by entering the number or just sampaling the blue on the soldier image…

Yes, I did it! must set the background color before start with CSS. =)

I think I’ll feel more satisfy if the whole thing can fit the window screen =)

Thanks ;)!!
