nobody knows where they are going when they die. You may believe that you might go somewhere, but to know is to have proof, and proof denies faith, and without faith, God is nothing (his own words).

**You bastards don’t deserve to live in this country!

Enough said by me. . . . **

whoever said that agreeing with our country’s foreign policy was law? or that disagreeing with it was a crime?

I find it fascinating that most people who oppose war don’t launch personal attacks against those who support it, but I’d have to say that about 70% of those I’ve encountered that support the war have launched personal attacks agains those who oppose. I’ve also found that MOST people who oppose war have very specific and intelligent reasons to oppose it, while those who support the war argue with rherotic and chauvinism… “You’re supposed to be patriotic… support our troops… support the country that has given you so much”

I, for one, would like to see an informed, intelligent argument for war that is supported by strong evidence, and does not rely on rhetoric. Not even bush has provided that.

And I saw a comment earlier on, that we should be grateful to our government for our security and standard of living. But I just have to say that this is purely crappity crap crap. It’s rhetoric. I can point out very easily that our standard of living is a result of work someone did 5, 10, 20 years ago… I can also easily point out that the leadership we have today is not the one that gave us this standard of living. If anything, it’s undoing any diplomatic work we have done since the end of the cold war.

and so say, comments like the quoted one above aren’t necessary or constructive. We can take the rhetoric that comes out of our behinds and throw it at each other all we want. But comments like the one above just make me put a huge label on the person who said it. You know… maybe there’s a very good and valid reason for this war, and I want to know it, if there is one…
