Explain like i was 3 years old

<<<------------i am finding that exporting a flash movie into a animated gif really bite. i don’t like putting the movie on the main time line so that it can be exported. the project i’m working on calls for all gif’s anf jeps in /DW. is it possible to load movies onto the stage from the library or an external file and then export the movie into a animated gif AND!!! have it work in / DREAMWEAVER…
please explain how this concept might work.-------------->>>:eye:

Why don’t you just embed the movie into the HTML page?

If you can’t use Flash and you need to use animated gifs or JPGs, then sorry, all content must be contained on the main timeline.

Dreamweaver is just a tool. It is not a browser (like Internet Explorer). Flash was designed to make .swf, not .gif. It is possible, but not the prog’s first priority.

Why do you want to export as .gif… it will be of less quality and a much larger file size.

<<<<-----------------the reason for exported gif is the project that i am working on. the company reaches around the world even into arica where they are still using ie.3 or similar to that. so i ahve to make everything into a html file that can be read by them. it bites because my exported file are really distorded as far as quality----------------->>>

shows that over 90% of the world has the Flash player installed. Just publish in Flash 3, or 4 if you are concerned… over 98.5 % of the world has Flash 3 player installed. The other 1.5% never will.
