External swf problems?

i have two container clips lets say container 1 and 2. when a button is clicked external swfs w/ transitions are loaded into both containers at the same time, container 1 using _root and 2 using _this and it works fine. in the swf loaded into container 1 there is a button that is suppose to load another external swf into container 2, but it doesnt load. im been stuck on this one for awhile, any help would be appreciated. thanks.
