Fading lines

I know there have been similiar questions asked on this forum but I have tried everything to no evale (so please dont tell me to search lol :slight_smile: ). I want a line to gradually fade away. Almost like applying a gradietnt effect to nothing (if that makes sense). I might be able to use the gradient tool or something but I just cant figuire it out. Can any of you Illustrator or PS gurus help me out? Thanks.

You can cut off the end with a feather marquee selection… :slight_smile:

Make your line, apply a layer mask to it (not a vector one)
fill your mask with a black and white gradient and tadam
