I’ve been noticing a very faint box behind embedded text on swfs that I make in Flash 8. I’ve only seen the problem when viewing the swfs in IE 6.0 on a system running XP Professional (not SP 2). The box (which roughly corresponds to the bounding box I typed the text into in Flash) can only be seen against some kind of background. It can be the background for the entire document, or it can be a rectangle or other object that lies behind the text. When I say box, I don’t mean that there are any borders. Instead, it looks like a a very faint moire pattern on a square behind the text. Anyone know anything that might make this problem go play elsewhere? I’ve experimented for hours with this, and the only constant seems to be that it’s only on embedded text. The other text options don’t seem to make any difference, nor does my choice of font.
