Few Questions About MT DV Hosting

So I’m thinking of ordering MT’s DV in a few months and I have a few questions.

  1. I would be to get sockets working through SSH right? To work with multiplayer interaction stuff.

  2. Is there a way to like VPN it or I have to just work with SSH?
