Any suggestions?
I have practically sent the guy books upon books of justifications of how it is illegal. He is such an ignorant fool.
Hello,
I am the programmer the of Adrian Coroama’s site: FFiles.com . I am also the person who posted on your forum (which you deleted without any sort of response).
You said, “There is nothing illegal on our site at the address Linuxin asentaminen AppleTV-laitteeseen . We refer Flash scripts by mentioning their authors, what’s the problem?”
Your justificications are flawed. Here is an analogous example: I’ll go post J.R.R. Tolken’s work and movies on the internet and mention his name and think its fine… wrong. That, and this, is a direct violation of copyright laws. According to wikipedia, “copyright” is defined as: “The legal protection given to authors which protects them against unauthorised copying of their work.” On ALL of our files hosted at ffiles we post copyright notices saying the files are copyrighted by their respected owners. Also you can see information on the United States Copyright Office website: “http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ1.html#wci ”. You do not have authorization from each author to post their work on your site. Thus, it is an illegal operation.
Also according to copyright laws, you are unable to produce derivative works. Your thumbnails are derivative works (especially when you insert a URL in the bottom left corner). Futhermore, when you click on a thumbnail, in the dialog that appears you state “Copyright © Down-fr.com ” when you do not hold copyright rights, the author of the file does.
Regards.
He just won’t give up. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. Let us know what becomes of it, im sure other kirupians will eventually have the same problem.
Might want to look up international business laws.
Thanks slowroasted

how do you find out that the files were ripped? also how do you get info like this so fast? thanks…
i’m sure idiot like this will have to give up soon…
ahh why does ur footer say my name in it heheh kinda freaky
just tell him that you can do a whois on his website and find out his name and address… .then you can press charges of copyright infringements.
and im sure people on here can find something nice to do with his email address…   :deranged: :deranged:
I googled myself (freeskier89) and it came up. He does slightly give credit to the files’ authors, but he does not have permission to post the content on his site without consent.
That has already been done He doesn’t seem to care. He thinks he is doing nothing wrong.

Just in case you didn’t already have it (emphasis added)
I didn’t think he’d be such an *** about it - I’d contact the host.

Remove the illegal links from this forum! Quickly you fools!
So how exactly do I send a cease and desist letter for all the files? Would I just say something to the effect “on behalf of all the users that have had their copyrights infringed upon?”
Thanks to all that have replied so far

Who runs ffiles? I think you should just referr to the content from ffiles, link to the infringed pages.
I and a few other people run ffiles.
I would do what you mentioned but don’t really have a way of editing the content on their site site. Their forum is dead by the way, so it is no use posting links there (and also they will be deleted – I tried last night).
