I think we need to set-up a system at Kirupa where a newly registered member has to wait 1 day before posting a message. Kind of a bad idea if someone really quickly needs help.
Another way is to give a few selected members power to mark as spam, and those threads will automatically get marked as deleted, and will no longer show up. Later a mod can just delete do his/her thing, or if the thread was marked as spam for wrongful reasons by those few selected, a mod can revoke the power granted to those members…
