Finally launching site - what do you think

thanks

Hmm the text looks outta place

which text? and how out of place?

Everything except the body :).

do you mean alignment wise or I’ve used the wrong font or too many fonts or the wrong coloured font?

Darkmotion probably refers to the font used for the logo … it does not balance with the button text.
But IMO what is more noticeable is the color choice which does not go with the mood of the music, nore with the girl …

the client was very insistent about the colour palette used. As for the text I could really find many fonts that would work with the logo, many of them looked to unreadable so I stuck with something simple

Hm, thats too sad … no way you could convince her otherwise?

I made alot of varients of the colour and it kept leaning towards this and out of all the requests and ideas and commands it came out like this. She’s really happy with it, I’m happy with it I think it match’s here personality and background to a good degree. I’ve showed a bunch of other designers and people on the street and they said it looks nice and functions well so I guess that’s the main thing. I do want to change the nav font around but unfortuantly there has been alot of hold ups with the site so I came to the conclusion that something simple like time new roman will do the job until I can hunt down the right font for the job.

the colors are good but may be a change to the buttons’ font would make it better

The green font in the text does not match AT ALL!
Very, very distracting to the rest of the site. Otherwise I think it looks pretty nice. Personally I like the colors used.

i think it is quite good…yeah maybe the font for nav bar could change, but if it dont its still pretty good…

I like it.
Couple of small points:

I like the logo font, but if it was darker it would stand out more. Maybe set it the same as the page background colour.

The light green surround/border jarred with me, maybe a slight shadow instead, or nothing.

In the ‘shows’ and ‘links’ sections, the text box scroll buttons appear, but have no function (there is not enough text to scroll) - if you used the Component scroll bar, you can remove these by editing the library folder:
Component Skins > FScrollbar Skins > fsb_downArrow_disabled (and the up one also) : delete the image = not shown when disabled.

were you refering to the bright green text in body text. Yeah I think I should change it, I choose that colour in a bit of a rush and did’nt really experiment enough with it.
thanks

Thanks eveyone for your helpful critiques I really appreciate it. You’ve helped me notice a few infractions with my site which I overlooked most likely due to the fact that I’ve been staring at it too long and my view has become a bit jarred and stale and I was in need of a fresh perspective.

Also if anyone can recommend a good solid font that I could use for the nav buttons please do and I’ll very appreciative.
thanks again:hugegrin:
