Hi guys, please take a look at this site…it’s in development still, just want to know what u guys think…I know many ppl don’t like the colours but I have no choice in the matter !
first off, i think the color scheme of black and bright green has to go. it’s not easy on the eyes, and looks unprofessional. with that said, the navigation takes a little getting used to, but its really origional, and goes perfect with the subject of the site. keep working, and good luck.
A couple things.
even though you give instructions, the mystery meat navigation is a bad thing. You should label your navigation at all times.
Also, in the about us section, if you aren’t going to list everyone’s age, then don’t list any. It makes it look like you have 2 guys who are 13 and 14, so you don’t want to let anyone know how young you are. If this is so, just don’t list the 3rd guy’s age…
I agree that the green/black color scheme is too contrast-y, and hurts the eyes. Try going with the same hue, but in different saturations.
The opening page was also extremely busy… It was amazing I looked up to see the instructions for the nav. People do not want to read text when surfing, so I would eliminate all of the text that is not drastically needed, and make that text extremely easy to read.
functionality is very nice.

I agree, black bold text on neon green is definitely not working here. No one is going to even bother to read the text, it’s like trying to read the text off a light bulb while it’s on.
thanks for the comments guys, I made some minor adjustments…so u can take a look again and let me know if u still think the text is still a bit hard to read…
the colors still remind me of a 1992 Adult site…
and yes, the text is still hard to read on that Green bg…
that is why the eye doctor uses that color to check for color blindness… it is a very hard on the eyes color… especially when contrasted with Black…

If you must stick with the color scheme that you have now then why don’t you use the grey on from the turn tables as the background for the text boxes?
Doing that would balance the colors out and make the text more readable.
Also change the font weight to regular and not bold would help as well.
thanx…electron…I made the changes. i changed the text to white…let me know how that looks…
the font I am using is a pixel font, so I can’t change it to either bold or regular…I thought the font would suit the general layout of the site, what pixel font are you using for ur site?
Don’t use pixel fonts, just because I use them doesn’t mean you should.
As for your layout, I still feel it’s hard to read, try switching the colors on the text box, have the background that light grey and the text as the darker grey.
I am not trying to follow you, I will use pixel fonts were it is necessary. I’ll probably get another pixel font that is easier to read.
pixel fonts are a fad. Check back in 2 years, no one will be using them.
Use a normal font, in decent font size, and it will look much better (like a printed document), and add to your design…
