Firefox saved me from Identity Theft

Today I received an email saying that I my online bank account had multiple logon attempts from different IPs, and multiple password mismatches. I did have trouble with my password when I attempted to logon to my bank account last week, but only did it from one computer.

Anyway, so the email tells me to go to a site to confirm my information. Having just woke up, I did as it said. Luckily, Firefox had trouble with the site, preventing me from submitting any information. I then realised that the email address was fishy, and so was the site URL.

I then emailed my bank questioning the integrity of the email, and true enough, it was part of a fraudulent scheme.

well…don’t think any of you care for my story, though, but just thought I’d post a warning in case anyone gets the same email.
