I just upgraded my computer (finally) to windows xp. No every 30 seconds I get alerts from my firewall that people are trying to access my computer. What the heck is going on? I do have a virus scanner and spybot destroyer so my harddrive is supposedly clean. I’ve never had this problem before, and I had the same firewall as before also.
Has anyone else had this problem?
When I was running a sygate firewall, I would get random warnings that some service I had never heard of was trying to access the web or that something was trying to access me. I changed to ZoneAlarm recently and haven’t seen any of those. I think its the firewall just looking for different things. Windows XP has alot of behind the scenes networking protocols and if your running a router that will send/recieve things to your computer. I don’t know alot about XP or networking, but I think its the firewall reacting to things differently.
