Flash alternative?

Hello Everyone,

I hope you don’t think I’m trolling too much. I hope you take this in the light it’s intended.

Blender the open source 3D animation program has had a game engine for a long time, but just a week or so ago, some people published an open source browser plugin so that blender game engine games can now be played in your web browser.

Here’s a YouTube video of a quite interesting physicsy FPS demo, running in Chrome.

It’s not been sandboxed yet, so it’s not going to properly compete with Flash until that happens, but I was interested to know what people might think of it all. And remember this is open source so it could get sandboxed at any time.

I’ve also attached a couple of screen shots of the game running in a browser.

So do you think you’d be interested in using this in the future? Could it be the next big thing?

Here’s the site where you can play the demo.

Here’s where you can download the plugin for Firefox, Chrome, Opera and IE on Windows and Linux.

By the way, the plugin is called Burster.

Cheers!
