I am somewhat of a novice, so please go easy on me. I was trying the tutorial entitled “Flash and HTML frames,” and I encountered a problem…
The tutorial gave the following direction:
[font=Arial]Open the file links.fla in Flash. Once the file has been opened, you will see the three buttons that were used in the sample. Right click on the first button and select Actions. Add a getURL statement by going to Basic Actions | Get URL.[/font]
This was no problem. However, when I went to add “get url” actions to the other two buttons, all three buttons changed at the same time. I realize this happens when objects are copied, etc. I tried converting each to a different symbol and that didn’t work either. Does this have something to do with the fact that I opened the file in Flash MX 2004 instead of Flash? How do I get around this problem?
