I was thinking of picking up a book today to help me learn flash. I am not a flash newbie really, I mean I have done most all of the tutuorials you can find on the major flash sites(flaskkit, Kirupa, and many more), but I was just looking for a book that would let me gain a more complete knowledge of flash. I was leaning towards getting the Lynda.com HOT flash MX book, but I am still unsure. Do you guys have any suggestions?

It will return a bunch of threads, and a couple of those have the same questions you asked.
I would strongly sugges Actionscripting in Flash MX by Phillip Kerman. Very, very thorough explanations.
Lynda’s books are ok if you want to learn from the very beginning.
