I was just wondering what books people would recommend for learning Flash MX with? I think I read a thread maybe last week where they mentioned a few but I’ve forgotten them or that was on a different site :-\

I think everyone would recommend something different. It depends on what you wnat to do with Flash.
If you want ActionScripting, try a book by O’Reilly. If you want to be able to make games, then there’s a book by a guy called Gary Rosenzweig that tells you how to do simple shoot 'em ups etc. Otherwise, there are more general Flash books, like The Flash Bible.
thanks kit. i guess what i’m after is a general book so the bible might be one to look for. i’ve already got 2 dummies books but i don’t think they cover everything :-\
No one book will cover everything, I don’t think. It’s a question of skimming themall in the bookshop and finding one that suits your needs.
If you think a bit about what you will want to do with Flash, then you can look for a book that covers those topic areas. 
I like Friends Of Ed. They have a ton of great flash books.
