hi all,
working on an “animated playbook” in flash, and I’m having trouble getting a few buttons to work properly. I’ve created a movie clip symbol called “menu” in which there are several buttons that act as a menu system for the playbook. The movie loads, then goes through the splash screen, then goes to the “Intro” scene and nothing works with the symbol in the movie on it’s own. If I break apart the symbol into it’s individual parts, it partly works - the movie loads, then goes to the appropriate scene. Then I click on the “Cuts” button, and it changes to that scene, but I can’t navigate anywhere else from there, and if I click on the current scene in the menu, the whole things starts over. The actionscript is the same on each scene for the buttons. I’m not quite sure what in the world is going on. The FLA for the whole thing (~290k) is available at

any help will be greatly appreciated! please let me know if you need clarification, as I had a hard time figuring out how to concisely describe this.
