I’ve got flash mx and i wanted to know how to create links in a flash scroller…such as a single word as a link to a pop-up window.

  1. creat a button symbol

  2. edit that button symbol
    a. put a rectagle in the 4th frame
    b. delete to outlines
    c. select the rectangle
    d. make the fill 0% opacity
    f. this will make a transparent button

  3. come to main movie or where your text is there and put the transperant button on that text. it ll appear as semi-transparent green. dont worry i ll be invisible when u run it. only your text could be seen.

  4. now right click on button and open actions window.

  5. go to browser/network …

  6. double click on getURL()

  7. type ur file name to be linked in URL box

  8. u can leave other two blank

  9. now test the movie
