I want to create an animated introduction movie which will then go to my main site. Is it better to create two separate movies (that links) or one big movie?

Suit yourself. If the intro is very big then I guess it’d be better if the visitor could choose on the html page which to see, the page or the intro…
But if the intro is small just some introduction flashing up and is almost nothing to download then it could be all 1 big movie too…
depends on how big is BIG for me, but if you have two swf then it will be faster to downlaod, as well as to update it.
