Want to upgrade to MX2004. I see that there is option to get academic version or retail, what’s the big difference, both say they are full working versions. I can go either way because I am student.
Academic version = No comerical use
No commercial use = can’t use it on jobs where you get paid
I recently purchased the Commercial Version of Studio MX 2004 w/ Flash Pro - I rock.
Honestly, that student version is pretty useless if u cant make money with it, whats the #1 reason for y ppl even use flash ? To do commercial or interactive projects for people or assignments. Now what student in their right mind, would actually buy the non-commercial version for use, when u cant even use it for commercial use, omg what a dumb idea. They should just make the commercial version cheaper for students (that goto colleges, high-schools, or universities), its funny but its true, they would not only make fmx2004 more affordable for students, they would probably get more people involved & interested in flash through the whole-process. Its odd how MM figured, students would actually buy it, maybe colleges or universities, but not poor students, who in their right mind would actually pay for a non-commercial version LoL. Like y limit yourself to non-commercial projects ;D
And not only that, who would actually pay a 100-200 bucs for a piece of software that u cant even use commercially ?!? If MM were smart, they would be picking up on this and use this as a strat
